On 1 May 2027, Basel will be reaching new heights once again: the 12th Tower Run Basel takes participants up 542 steps, 31 storeys and 105 metres in altitude to the top of the Messeturm. A vertical sprint that demands strength, stamina and mental resilience – and is rewarded with an unforgettable finish at the Bar Rouge. Whether you’re an ambitious individual runner or a stair-running novice: everyone is welcome to take on this special challenge.
The latest highlight: the Tower Run Basel now counts towards the Towerrunning World Tour with a factor of 160. This classification distinguishes Basel alongside Singapore and Vienna, lending the event even greater international prestige.
But at the Messeplatz, there’s far more at stake than just the fastest time: In the Charity Run, every step counts towards a good cause. And in the return of the Firefighter Challenge, fire brigade teams in full kit deliver impressive performances and demonstrate true team spirit. Together with the crowd, they turn 1 May into a celebration full of energy, emotion and new connections.
